is it wrong that i really want to punch feral in the mouth right now? fuck him and his 'how do you think those 22 families feel?' bullshit. speaking as someone who lost family due to dubya's inability to think his decisions through, i am very happy that our current president is trying to get some basis for the choice he is about to make. at least obama understands that he is dealing with other people's lives. i don't think dubya noticed that. fuck feral and fuck doomshadow. neither of them had to go to their brother's funeral after he killed himself! its kind of insulting
so i've gone to NJ a few times on my weekends for this big project that my work has going on right. as a thank you for this, i, a jew, received a big box of pork products from my work. i got pork hot dogs, pork chops, stuff potatoes with bacon, and fish stuff with crab meat. when i complained to my boss about this, he didn't think anything of it. i guess i should email HR.... ok, so michael jackson is dead. big frickin deal. i mean the guy was fucking child molester. can we please move on. it would be nice to see the news media pay more attention to things that are actually important. like the shit in iran, or the climate bill that went through the house, or SC governor using state funds to bang some chick from argentina, or even to cover the other recently dead celebrities who weren't child molesters! food experimentation
so my new brewing hobby has me sending vast quantities of yeast down to the chesapeake. tonight, megan and i are trying to put it to a better use. we harvested about half of the leftover yeast and added flour to it. with luck, we'll pull off what the ancient epgytians did, and have some good bread later tonight. :) in other news, i have to go to NYC for work this weekend. other guys that have gone on this project in past weeks scored 25+ hours of OT in two days. sure, the extra money will be nice, but i value my free time a little more than i value money..... ah well :( Current Mood: experimental | | Friday, June 12th, 2009 | | 10:39 pm |

gogol bordello
went to the gogol bordello show last night. good bands, really need to come on weekends. getting home at 1am on a work night sucks the next morning. anyway... the show started off with man man. they were ... different. they put on a highly entertaining stage show. but it was one of those, i'm not sure what i just saw, but i think i liked it, moments. they had lots of drums, several keyboards, xylophones, a trumpet, a sax, and the obligatory guitar. oh, and tons of energy. they played straight for an hour, not even stopping to say hi to the crowd. after that, the roadies took far to long to switch stuff over, and then couldn't undo the banner for gogol bordello. but their dj, pedro, came out to entertain for a bit, wearing one of those mexican wrestler masks. they put on an awesome show! they played for over two hours, which was pretty frickin sweet, even though it was a work night. i hate silver spring

beer the third
i just popped open some of the third batch that i will be taking up to GE. it turned out just about perfect. nicely hopped, good amount of body, and a nice maltiness to it too. the only problem is it's a lil flat. however, this is from the growler that i put in the fridge for the past three weeks, so the cold may have slowed down the carbonation that comes from the second fermentation, aka conditioning. | | Wednesday, May 13th, 2009 | | 9:30 pm |

the vegas experience
just got back from vegas, and i've got to say, i wasn't that impressed. my biggest impression was that it was dirty. aside from the grit that most cities have, there were porno mags and cards littered all over the place. the wedding was nice though. the hoover damn, however, was Amazing! i'm not sure if the damn itself was the best part or if black canyon was, but it was still very cool. |
